As a B2B Product Marketing Manager for Apartment List, you’ll be at the forefront of this transformation, helping property managers—from enterprise players to mid-market and SMB operators—adopt a more efficient, performance-driven leasing approach.
This is a high-impact, strategic role, reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, where you’ll partner closely with sales, growth, marketing, and product teams to build a go-to-market engine that accelerates adoption and fuels the next chapter of our company!
We’re looking for a seasoned, entrepreneurial PMM who thrives in high-growth, ambiguous environments and operates as both a strategic leader and hands-on executor. You’ll be a force for clarity and focus, balancing customer obsession, sharp business instincts, and data-driven decision-making to help Apartment List become the #1 choice for property operators.
Here’s what you’ll do as part of the team:
- Shape our market positioning: Define strategic initiatives, product messaging, and feature launch priorities to position Apartment List as the premier partner for PMCs.
- Champion the voice of the customer Conduct research and analyze data to deeply understand multifamily operators, property managers, and landlords—and translate those insights into compelling positioning and GTM strategies.
- Drive product adoption & revenue growth: Partner with sales, product, and growth teams to develop and test messaging that accelerates acquisition, conversion, and retention for our Lister-side customers.
- Refine our product messaging: Work closely with sales leadership to develop competitive battlecards, sharpen our product positioning, and create external enablement materials that differentiate our brand.
- Deepen our collective understanding of the market: Monitor competition, industry shifts, and emerging proptech & AI trends and product innovation to ensure our GTM approach stays ahead of the curve.
- Build our B2B PMM “house”: Develop a scalable GTM engine ensuring all products and features are accurately positioned, and designed for maximum impact.
Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:
- B2B Tech Expertise: 8yrs of marketing experience, including 3+ years in product marketing at a B2B tech company. Platform experience is a strong plus.
- Customer Obsession: Deep curiosity and a PMM instinct for understanding our customers’ pain points, motivations, and decision drivers.
- PMM Sense: You’re confident bringing a spiky POV to the table for product strategy discussions.
- High-Ownership Mentality: You act like an owner, not an order taker—taking full accountability for driving impact without waiting for direction. In fact, you excel in startup environments, proactively creating clarity, teaching yourself, and defining success in fast-moving, dynamic spaces.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: You don’t just influence teams—you energize them to act, flawlessly driving complex GTM strategies across sales, product, and growth.
- A Passion for Winning: You have a track record of delivering outsized results—launching products, driving adoption, and elevating market perception in highly competitive spaces.

Here's The Pay Range
At Apartment List, we carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation for each position, including the role, level, and work. The US base salary range for this position is:
- Zone1: $114,200 - $138,500 TTC (including $102,000 - $124,000 base salary) + equity
- Zone 2: $106,000 - $128,000 TTC (including $95,000 - $116,000 base salary) + equity
- Zone 3: $97,000 - $118,000 TTC (including $87,000 - $106,000 base salary) + equity
This reflects the compensation target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the compensation details provided do not include benefits and perks that we offer.
We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration.
