UPMC is looking for a Systems Engineer Associate to join their team.
Purpose:
Under the direction of management and more senior members of the team, the Systems Engineer Associate maintains systems, participates in projects, provides end user support, and contributes to team documentation and process improvement. This position will be remote but may be required to attend in person events on rare occasion.
A System Engineer- Associate on the Application Engineering team is responsible for providing platform management and dev ops support for those platforms. Responsibilities include application upgrades and patching, automation of operational tasks, end user support and troubleshooting, Continuous Integration development/support and ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Responsibilities:
End user support - Complete basic documented tasks related to end user support.
Project Management – Complete basic project-related tasks and tasks delegated by more senior members of the team.
Responsible for time tracking and updating documentation.
Troubleshooting/Critical Thinking - Ability to resolve basic issues or offer input on issue resolution.
Core technology concepts - Responsible for showing a basic understanding of designated technologies and their use. Demonstrates the initiative to learn internal processes and procedures.
Maintenance Upgrades - Follow documented procedures for maintenance and upgrades. Responsible for assisting with Disaster Recovery Plan.
Communication - Responsible for demonstrating appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and oral communications in all interactions to build relationships and accomplish day to day work and projects.
