Job description

SUMMARY

Analyzes and evaluates business requirements, consults with personnel from various departments, and identifies areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes. Provides recommendations on new or enhanced systems, software, upgrades, and modifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs and develops RPG ILE applications in support of corporate objectives. 

  • Creates and deploys web services for the company and corporate partners.

  • Creates and maintains service programs and business logic. 

  • Ensures applications are of high quality and delivered in a timely manner.

  • Presents a professional image of the company through verbal and written communications. 

  •  Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires an Associate’s Degree in Information Systems/Technology or a related field; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience and comprehensive knowledge of the RPGIV free format language. 

  • Thorough understanding of service programs and ILE. 

  • Experience with SIS Insurance is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work and collaborate as a part of a team. 

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with team members. 

  • Ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Must have the ability to design and develop RPG ILE applications and web services; must be able to create and maintain service programs and business logic. 

  • Requires a high degree of attention to detail to ensure applications are high quality and delivered in a timely manner.
