Position Overview: Compugen is seeking a Project Manager for an initial 1 year contract working remotely. Candidates must currently reside within Canada and be available to work CT. Key Responsibilities: Develops, implements, and oversees project stream plans using Agile methodology, including Program Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives. This is done in alignment with the direction and priorities set by the Operational Business Champion and stream leads.

  • Develops, implements, and oversees project stream plans using Agile methodologies, including Program Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives, based on guidance from the Operational Business Champion and stream leads.
  • Manages project stream schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items.
  • Coordinates and supervises the release of key deliverables for approval.
  • Ensures tasks are executed according to the plan and objectives.
  • Leads project discussions and actively participates as a team member.
  • Understands the stream's work and provides best practice recommendations to meet timelines and quality standards.
  • Logs, maintains, and escalates RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) using Azure DevOps, and follows up as needed.
  • Facilitates daily and weekly Scrums for the stream.
  • Attends Scrum X3 meetings, providing updates on risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
  • Identifies and manages interdependencies and constraints between streams to minimize delivery risks.
  • Maintains appropriate governance structures for the project.
  • Contributes to defining and assessing success criteria and readiness factors for the project stream.
  • Collaborates with the Nova Project Management Team to ensure consistency and leverage best practices, resolving conflicts and competing priorities between streams.


Skills & Qualifications: Education:

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, or related discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, designation or equivalent.


Experience:

  • Eight to ten years’ related experience, including five years managing medium to large projects and special initiatives. This includes high visibility projects that involve large scope and budgets, multiple system changes, and multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in an Agile environment an asset.


Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a diversified work group/project team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, parallel projects or multiple streams of work on a very large project.
  • Strong strategic and tactical planning skills, with the ability to align business and technology planning.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to present information effectively to various audiences.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Strong project management skills, including Work Breakdown Structures, requirements management, deliverables, and budget allocations.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and requirements documentation.
  • Ability to manage time and set priorities with the primary goal of completing assignments on time.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing deadlines and business demands.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Strong customer service values.
  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of software including Visio, SharePoint, and MS Project.
  • Experience in Business Case development and delivery.
