As a Technical Enterprise Architect at PPG, you'll join our global Enterprise Architecture team at a pivotal moment in our transformation journey. Working directly with our Senior IT Manager of Enterprise Architecture, you'll have the unique opportunity to influence technology decisions that impact operations across 70+ countries. Our EA group isn't isolated in an ivory tower - we're deeply embedded with solution architects, IT leaders, and business stakeholders, ensuring our technology choices drive real business outcomes.

Location: This position can be located anywhere in Europe or US East Coast

Key Responsibilities

• Shape PPG's technical future by designing cloud-native reference architectures and creating architectural patterns that will guide our global technology initiatives
• Support the evolution of our innovative AWS-based EA platform that connects and streamlines our enterprise architecture tools
• Build bridges between technology and business by communicating complex architectural concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Define and champion technical standards that balance innovation with enterprise stability
• Mentor solution architects and provide strategic guidance on mission-critical projects
• Drive our cloud transformation initiatives, helping modernize legacy systems and implement cutting-edge solutions
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, VPC, and Bedrock
• Strong development background with Python, PostgreSQL, and modern API design
• Proven experience with cloud-native architectures, including microservices, containers, and serverless solutions
• Experience with enterprise architecture tools (LeanIX experience is a plus)
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years in technical architecture or similar roles
• Most importantly: A passion for transforming traditional enterprises through technology innovation
