Overview:
The Research Analyst will be part of the Market Strategy group within the Strategic Marketing & Product Management (SM&P) organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market research and analysis, with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, industry trends, and competitive landscapes within the Food, Health, and Nutrition markets. The Research Analyst will play a crucial role in informing strategic decisions and driving growth initiatives through the SMP planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
· Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities, trends, and threats within the Food, Health, and Nutrition industry.
· Gather and analyze data on consumer preferences, purchasing behavior, and market dynamics through the SMP’s situation assessment process.
· Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activities to provide timely insights.
Consumer Insights:
· Develop a deep understanding of consumer demographics, preferences, and buying patterns through qualitative and quantitative research methods.
· Utilize surveys, focus groups, and data analytics to uncover actionable insights that drive marketing and product development strategies.
Competitive Analysis:
· Assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) of key competitors in the Food, Health, and Nutrition market through the SMP situation assessment process in partnership with the product brands and business units.
· Track competitor pricing, product offerings, distribution channels, and marketing strategies.
· Benchmark our company’s performance against industry peers and identify areas for improvement.
Forecasting and Market Projections:
· Develop market forecasts and projections based on historical data, trends analysis, and industry dynamics.
· Provide accurate and timely forecasts for sales volumes, market share, and revenue potential.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align forecasts with production, sales, and marketing strategies.
Reporting and Presentation:
· Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards summarizing key findings and recommendations.
· Present findings to senior management, stakeholders, and internal teams to support strategic decision-making.
· Communicate complex data and insights in a compelling and understandable manner.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.
· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in market research methodologies, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau), and statistical techniques.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
· Passion for the Food, Health, and Nutrition industry with a keen interest in consumer behavior and market trends.
