Training Specialist
PURPOSE:
The Training Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees. Training responsibilities include communicating with managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. The Training Specialist is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all training programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
Coordinate with vendor partners and account owners to maintain partnership certification requirements.
Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
Coordinate with vendors to arrange, plan and execute training opportunities for technical teams
Coordinate with vendor partners and account owners to maintain partnership certification requirements.
Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions
Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
Assesses training materials prepared by instructors
Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.
Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions.
Work with LOB leaders to determine training needs, create content, schedule and conduct training.
Work with LOB leaders to identify certification needs, provide access to training platforms.
Maintain records of certifications required, achieved and bonuses paid.
Maintain records of compliance training required and completion.
Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field required.
At least two years of training experience required.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Expereince with Paylocity (or similar HRIS) and Lessonly
Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with video editing and LMS management is a plus, but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of shift. The position is mainly sitting, with occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, such as laptop, equipment, and, possibly traveling to offices to meet with leaders or trainees.
Salary Expectations: $60,000 - $65,000Swiss IT Security Group AG
