PKI Specialist

Join us as PKI Specialist and play a key role in securing our clients' digital environments. Using your expertise in Applied Crypto technologies, you'll safeguard sensitive data, prevent unauthorized access, and advise customers on future-proofing their security—from post-quantum readiness to automating certificates and key materials. 

What you'll do as PKI specialist 

• Requirements Analysis & Design: Actively contribute to client consultations to map out Applied Crypto needs and provide tailored solution designs. 
• Implementation & Configuration: Supporting the implementation and configuration of Cryptography solutions.  
• Operations: Be one of the Subject Matter experts in Cryptography and understand the role of Applied Crypto in an organisation. 
• Technical Guidance: Serve as an Applied Crypto expert and and offering ongoing technical support. 
• Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for Applied Crypto solutions and processes. 
• Mentoring: Share your expertise by guiding and mentoring colleagues within the Applied Crypto unit. 
• Self-Development: Stay ahead of industry trends by obtaining certifications in leading technologies (e.g., KeyFactor EJBCA, KeyFactor Command, Thales HSMs).

What you'll bring to the team 

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, preferably applied crypto (i.e. key management, certificate lifecycle management). Experience with security tools like Thales & Keyfactor is a plus. 
• Skills: Driven by a continuous learning mindset, you are an analytical and creative problem-solver with a passion for designing & delivering quality-driven solutions. You balance your attention to detail with proactive curiosity. You demonstrate strong ownership, accountability and effective stakeholder management skills. 
• Languages: Fluent proficiency in English, Dutch is nice to have. 
• Education/certifications: Completed technical HBO+ education or an equivalent level acquired through work experience. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (i.e. CISSP and CISM) is a plus. 
• Availability: You are available for at least 32 hours per week and are available to come to our Waardenburg offices on a (bi)weekly basis. 
• Driver's License: You have a valid EU driver's license. 
• Work Eligibility: You must already hold a valid working visa for and already live in Europe to qualify for this role. We will expect you to relocate to the Netherlands for this role (with our support). 

Some facts about our PKI Consultancy team 

• Our team, consisting of 6 consultants (from South Africa, Portugal and the Netherlands), are experts in all aspects of (postquantum) cryptography. 
• We are super proud that we have many recurring projects due to the expertise and effort we provide to our clients! 
• Most of our team comes to the Waardenburg offices every Friday to meet the team face-to-face, align on projects and (naturally) close the week with a drink together! 
• We celebrate all our successes and enjoy team outings. In our next outing we will step on the ‘gas’ swerving over an e-kart track, after which we will round the evening off with a BBQ!
