Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in medical billing to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.

  • Process medical claims and ensure accurate medical billing and coding.

  • Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.

  • Generate financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.

  • Manage payroll processing and tax filings.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and insurance requirements.

  • Assist with budgeting and financial planning.

  • Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and other stakeholders regarding billing inquiries.

  • Perform general bookkeeping duties, including invoicing and payment processing.



Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting.

  • Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance claims, and coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and medical billing software.

  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare financial regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist) are a plus.
