About Ruvos
Formed in 2004, Ruvos is on a mission to deliver clever and efficient solutions to problems so that the world is a better place for the communities we serve. Ruvos started in the field of healthcare data integration with the State of Florida in 2004. By working collaboratively with the Bureau of Epidemiology, and dozens of other program areas across the state, we implemented and still support the award-winning Data Integration Team for Florida. Our work in Florida caught the attention of other jurisdictions (e.g., Texas, Oregon) as well as national non-profits like The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) and The National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS). We also began to work with hospitals across the US, including Boston Medical Center, Valley Medical, and many more.
As data integration and national health technology initiatives continued to mature, we added cloud computing and cybersecurity to our service offerings. We currently host several systems of national significance including the APHL Informatics Messaging Services (AIMS) platform and the State and Territorial Exchange of Vital Events (STEVE). In partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and APHL, we developed the AIMS platform to connect and facilitate data sharing between disparate systems. The AIMS platform is a secure, cloud-based environment that accelerates the implementation of health messaging by providing shared services to aid in the transport, validation, translation, hosting, and routing of electronic data. The first use case for the AIMS platform was influenza surveillance reporting from Public Health Laboratories (PHLs) to the CDC.
