Compensation Range:
Annual Salary: $79,930.00 - $107,900.00
Position Summary
The Salesforce Administrator works with all aspects of the university’s user management including support tickets, training, and designing solutions with user satisfaction as a top priority to ensure the Salesforce user experience is exceptional. The incumbent will bring their expertise of the Salesforce platform to support not only our current setup and our business objectives, but to also quickly identify areas of improvement. Additionally, the Salesforce Administrator supports change management and governance, as well as communication, prioritizes, and manages all aspects of Salesforce Administration. Works with stakeholders at all levels, and translates technical information into layman’s terms, clearly explaining design options and their potential impact.
Essential Functions:
- Administer all aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules.
- Perform Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports.
- Apply understanding of basic triggers/Apex code knowledge.
- Manage the Sandbox environment.
- Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
- Create a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders.
- Own the communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders.
- Manage data to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.
- Lead proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer.
- Resolve user support tickets by troubleshooting issues, providing timely assistance, and ensuring effective resolution to enhance user experience and system functionality.
- Monitor and improve user adoption.
- Conduct new user and ongoing training by developing and delivering instructional materials, guiding users through system functionalities, and providing continuous support to enhance user proficiency and engagement.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation by creating clear, detailed guides, updating existing materials, and ensuring accuracy to support user understanding and system efficiency.
- Manage integrated applications and third-party suppliers including Adobe Sign and SMS360.

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, network administration, or related field, and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience as a Salesforce administrator required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of related experience as a Salesforce administrator required. Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred (Advanced).
- DevOps/release management experience preferred.
- Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes preferred.
- Experience in change management and governance preferred.
- Experience in higher education preferred.
- Experience working in a technology-driven enterprise preferred.

- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and solid working knowledge applications used for salesforce applications: Salesforce Web Services API’s; Force.com SOAP and REST-based Web Services API’s, the Bulk API and the Metadata API. Working knowledge of Salesforce data tools e.g. Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE. Experience in Visualforce/Apex development.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, design patterns and functionality, as well as ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views and other content of intermediate complexity.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individual of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including translating technical language to a non-technical nature and successfully train end-users.
- Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
