What You’ll Do

As a Renal Service Coordinator (RSC), you will play a key role in assisting patients to access essential medical services and connect individuals to vital community resources through each stage of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). You will collaborate with patients, care teams, insurance providers, physicians, community resources, and vendors to improve health outcomes.

Essential Functions:

  • Locate providers that accept patient’s insurance and new patients.
  • Schedule appointments with providers and efficiently coordinate patient care.
  • Coordinate access to durable medical equipment.
  • Connect patients to vital community resources to enhance their overall well-being.
  • Demonstrate thoughtful decision-making and resourcefulness when locating alternative options due to insurance coverage limitations.
  • Overcome barriers by thinking creatively and finding innovative solutions.
  • Opportunities to assist with various projects.

What You’ll Need:

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Basic knowledge of insurance benefits and eligibility criteria
  • Highly self-motivated, dependable, excellent time management, and ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships at various levels of the organization
  • Kidney care or case management experience is highly valued

Preferred

  • Healthcare or inbound contact center experience
  • Basic computer skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office application.

Work Environment:

  • 100% Remote
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period 
  • Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio)
