Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Virtual Assistant with experience in accounting to support our founder. The VA will handle a range of administrative and accounting tasks, ensuring that financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong communication skills, and a knack for multitasking in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping Support: Assist with recording transactions, updating ledgers, and maintaining financial records, via Quickbooks

  • Invoice Management: Create, send, and track invoices for clients and vendors.

  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize company expenses, including handling receipts and preparing expense reports.

  • Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions with company records.

  • Data Entry: Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data in accounting software.

  • Tax Support: Assist with preparing and filing tax documents, keeping records in order for tax season.

  • Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, such as scheduling meetings and managing emails.

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly or quarterly financial reports by gathering and organizing relevant data.

  • Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries related to invoices, payments, and other financial matters.



Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience  in an administrative role, in accounting or finance.

  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

  • Experience handling sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
