Job description

Integra’s Payer Relations team is responsible for the ongoing success of the company’s payer account portfolio, ensuring relationship management and cultivation in the pursuit of patient service excellence. The team is focused on client experience, collaborates cross-functionally, and is a key component of corporate development and success. Our clients are comprised of leading regional and national health plans, as well as other payers such as TPA’s, self-insured, and employer groups. 

Overview 

As an Account Manager for Payer Relations, you are driven by providing a best-in-class client experience for our customers. You are an aspiring business professional with account management experience and a passion for healthcare service. You relish operating in a client-facing environment, and value working cross-functionally to deliver innovative client and patient-focused solutions. 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Payer Relations, the Account Manager will be integral in supporting the delivery of an industry-leading customer experience to our clients, supporting our growing business, and creating efficiencies in the healthcare community along the way. In this role, you will oversee 5–10 client relationships, representing the voice of the customer as the liaison for all customer needs. You’ll also work with leaders across Integra to develop and implement winning strategies for success. 

Salary: $70,000.00/annual

Responsibilities 

  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with our client portfolio in a client-centric and solutions-based manner 

  • Own the proactive management, performance, and retention of each of your accounts, collecting customer feedback on a regular basis 

  • Support the flawless delivery of service level agreements for our Payers and be instrumental in enhancing ways we improve on our existing processes.

  • Hold regular client touchpoint meetings to discuss open issues and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Keep account information updated in CRM system (we use Salesforce) 

  • Oversee client optimization and education events on behalf of your customers 

  • Manage and oversee client business reviews on a mutually agreed-upon operating cadence (quarterly, bi-annually, annually) 

  • Prepare and manage reports for both internal and external use 

Your first six months 

In your first six months you will learn about the nuances of DMEPOS Benefit and Network Management, begin to establish relationships with your clients, and collaborate daily with other departments within Integra in order to best support the needs of patients and out provider partners.

Your first 12 months 

Within your first 12 months working at Integra, you will have become a trusted partner and liaison for your clients, advocating for their members’ needs while managing a multi-million-dollar account portfolio. 

Qualifications 

  • At least two years’ experience in client-facing account manager or similar roles 

  • Previous experience in healthcare is preferred; health plan experience a plus

  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM 

  • Strong familiarity with Excel and data analysis 

  • Demonstrated PowerPoint and presentation proficiency 

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage relationships and support increased revenue across multiple channels 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners
