This position will develop and grow sales of Cabinetworks Group products within Pro segment of Home Depot’s landscape to meet and exceed projections for overall sales and comparative growth.

Ideal candidate in the role:

Cultivate and leverage relationships with THD Pro leadership to influence their decision making, create opportunities for us to sell more, and contains risks to the business. Develop, implement and manage strategies and programs to ensure optimal offering of Cabinetworks Group products and services. Leverage analytics to drive decision making and identify gaps. Operate as a liaison and ambassador effectively facilitating  collaboration internally and externally to execute and deliver needs of the pro business. This includes service support, marketing, training, event support, product line regulation, and promotional levers.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales and Account Management

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Home Depot’s Pro segment, focusing on developing new business,  achieving growth targets, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for THD Pro leadership, ensuring excellent customer service, timely communication, and seamless execution of sales driving initiatives.
  • Steer global strategies to be executed by Pro Sales Representatives to ensure KPIs are met, and objectives align with company goals, including services.
  • Analyze sales data and performance regularly to assess strategy, identify issues and develop corrective actions either regionally or globally across all markets.
  • Leverage internal demand and category management teams, alongside Home Depot’s Business Analyst support to evaluate  business and develop tactical strategies to be disseminated to the team to meet and/or exceed goals.   

Relationships

  • Cultivate a strong relationship with THD’s Pro merchant team, regional Pro leadership and high-profile pro customers in person and virtually daily to develop new business and drive growth in the Pro segment of Cabinetworks Group’s portfolio.
  • Responsibly leverage T&E to grow, maintain and maximize relationships and execute company initiatives.

Training and Events

  • Assume leadership of training and networking events
  • Oversee the training activity of regional pro representatives and collaborate on opportunities to drive growth at the pro desk and with the OSR team.
  • Champion and support task and marketing driven demands for awarded entertainment, networking, and training events targeting the OSR team and their Pros.
  • Educate and sell the THD Pro leadership on Cabinetworks Group global Pro focused strategies including but not limited to engagement events, product launches and pilot programs.

Issue Resolution

  •  Proactively, effectively and promptly address product, warranty and/or service issues and communicate resolution with all parties involved when escalated to the merchant level at Home Depot.

Cabinetworks Group Ambassador

  • Collaborate closely with our category/demand managers and THD Pro merchant team to optimize product placement, promotions and program performance.
  • Work closely with field/account directors, marketing and product teams to ensure our offerings align with The Home Depot Pro program, pricing and service strategies.
  •  Collaborate with the Sales Operations management team to maximize efficiency, communicate with key target accounts , and execute daily business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 4 years of Kitchen & Bath, Building supply industry or Home Center sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years of selling with a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to use trade tools (tape measurer, drill, blueprints)
  • Hunter mentality
  • Negotiation skills
  • Cold Calling & selling to end consumers
  • Proven track record of successfully developing new business
  • Demonstrated successful capability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues, with demonstrated decision-makings skills.
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with department, cross-functional business teams, and customers.
  •  Excellent project management and budgeting skills with a deadline orientation and focus.
  •  Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
  • 75% out of state travel with overnights required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • 2020 or similar design software skills
  • Experience working with pros
  • Knowledge of cabinetry
  • Ability to measure spaces related to cabinetry and understand design
