Position Summary:
The Accounting and Payroll Manager will oversee the strategic direction, establishment/execution of objectives, and/or people management of Payroll and Payroll accounting functions. This role will maintain compliance with local and federal regulations and serve as the liaison to vendors, auditors, and local and federal agencies. The role will interact with multiple levels of the organization and outside the organization.
Expected Duties:
- The Accounting and Payroll Manager will oversee the administration and processing of the organization’s biweekly payroll and all equity payroll in coordination with the outsourced ADP processor
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate accounting of salaries, commissions, and equity payments
- Expected to perform accounting close duties related to payroll, including payroll flux analysis, payroll accrual, vacation accrual, payroll journal entries, and payroll-related reconciliations
- The Accounting and Payroll Manager will ensure compliance is met with accounting standards, payroll tax regulations, and internal controls for SOX
- The role will provide information for various audits, quarterly reviews, and the annual audit and identify and implement process improvements
- Expected to assist accounting teams with requests as needed, including journal entry review and account reconciliation reviews while performing ad-hoc analysis requests, project requests, and assisting with other quarterly/year-end financial audits or SOX-related activities
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- The role requires the establishment of annual objectives and execution of tactics to meet MeridianLink objectives. The role will receive assignments based on incremental objectives and defined processes.
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to subordinates within the parameters of MeridianLink policies
- Ability to interpret financials within the scope of MeridianLink's impact and longevity
- Ability to execute financials, business planning, organizational priorities, and workforce
- Ability to work on issues requiring the analysis of data, and relevant factors and resolve problems
- Ability to develop and manage routine operational plans
- Ability to interact with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction requires interpreting and explaining information to audiences familiar with the subject
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience
- Ability to work on issues requiring the analysis of data, and relevant factors, and resolve problems
- Ability to gain the cooperation of others by conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects and programs
- Knowledge of Accounting in Excel or Microsoft systems

Salary range of $114,300 - $161,400. [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law including geographical location.
