Job description

The Opioid Epidemic is a public health crisis with a highly effective but underutilized clinical intervention - millions of Americans are physically dependent on Opioids but only 10% of those likely to have OUD actually access treatment. Bicycle Health addresses this gap by maximizing accessibility, affordability, and overall quality of care by enabling highly qualified clinicians to reach patients broadly and efficiently through our online platform.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the organization around the monthly close process including preparing journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations, and assisting in financial reporting. This position will analyze complex account activity and propose solutions for simplification. The Senior Accountant will work closely with multiple departments to provide financial information to aid in decision making.

Location:  Remote

Schedule: Full time (40 hrs)

Target Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000 per year - Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

You can expect to:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and work on other related financial activities.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain the accounting records, files, and general ledger.
  • Set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books using Netsuite.
  • Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
  • Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Provide external auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Conduct year-end closures.

Qualities we're looking for: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related years of experience.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; experienced at creating journal entries and reconciling complex accounts.
  • Highly detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to meet a stream of constant deadlines and prioritize work.
  • Proven success in working both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
  • Consistent access to a private work environment with high speed internet and professionally appropriate surroundings for frequent video conferencing and a workstation setup conducive to remote work needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Constantly operate a computer and other related peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse, headset etc.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position a majority of the time working.
  • Frequent communication via remote meeting software; softphones or cell phones.  
  • Predominantly working in the employees home, indoor,  office setup.
  • Ability to occasionally drive to a company office location and walk throughout the space.

This is a full-time (40hrs per week) remote position.
