RealPage is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for daily Treasury, A/R, and A/P activities. In addition, he/she will be assisting with the month-end general ledger close process by booking entries and reconciling accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily reconciliation of customer cash receipts, and reviewing payment processor and ACH batches
Process daily returned payments and chargebacks
Monthly reconciliation of business bank accounts
Perform monthly A/R Rollforward, and A/R Item Detail Report
Prepare prepaid utility floating reporting by querying and combining multiple reports from SQL database
Book monthly financial lookback journal entries
Query and analyze utility revenue from database and book monthly entries
Prepare Revenue by State reporting
Collect and/or update W9s for all properties and prepare yearly 1099 reporting
Perform merchant fee analysis and allocation by market
Additional tasks can be assigned based on team/business needs, and ad hoc projects
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum 6 years GL accounting experiences
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
Intermediate knowledge of Excel (Pivots, various formulas, etc.)
Comfortable working remotely and flexible working US time during month end close
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to prioritize and manage work under time constraints
Ability to take ownership and work with minimum supervision
Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
Revenue recognition and/or bank reconciliation experiences
