Job description

General Summary

 

The Reseller Support Specialist provides sales support to customers.  This position may interface directly or indirectly with customers and the majority of communication will be over the phone or via Email.  

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with product and service information
  • Build and maintain rapport with customers and reseller agents
  • Communicate effectively with reseller agents
  • Be positive, confident, reliable, friendly and engaged during all calls
  • Identify customer needs and resolve problems to inquiries regarding billing, sales and basic technical support
  • Provide product sales opportunities and promotions
  • Capture data, enter clearly and accurately
  • Recognize, document and alert the supervisor of trends in customer calls.
  • Use customer service skills to appropriately satisfy and retain customers
  • Utilize tools to check service availability; improve the rate of successful installation
  • Set appropriate expectations regarding installation and service; reschedule installation appointments as needed
  • Escalate calls as needed
  • Perform initial and periodic follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned        

Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent required; college degree a plus
  • Minimum 6 months sales experience, 1 year preferred
  • Call center experience preferred
  • Must possess exemplary verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong negotiation skills and a track record of telecommunication products is a plus.
  • Outstanding telephone and customer service etiquette Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth and Web browser software a plus
  • Ability to navigate through several applications simultaneously
  • Keyboard and/or typing skills 30 wpm minimum
  • Available to work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish a plus. 

Working Conditions 

  • Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.
