Job description

Since 2018, Wisp has been on a mission to put healthcare back in patients’ hands. We connect patients with hassle-free sexual + reproductive care online, with discreet and convenient treatment that saves them time, money, and stress. Our goal is to empower everyone to make the decisions about their health that are right for them. We’ve scaled quickly, serving patients across the nation and becoming part of the WELL Health family—and now we want you.

We are a growing, fully-remote team in the United States looking for collaborators who are committed to our mission, passionate about results, eager to build something amazing, and excited to have high levels of ownership, accountability, and personal growth.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Senior UX designer to join our product team. Candidates should be resilient, adaptive, and highly collaborative, with a proven ability to independently drive projects and propose solutions. You will be responsible for conducting user research, creating interaction designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless patient and clinical operations experiences. You should be comfortable navigating the complexities of asynchronous remote work and building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineers, operations and marketers.  You should be able to balance the ideal design vision with practical considerations for engineering and business value, understanding the potential implications of design decisions on outcomes and engineering scope.

Please note this is a contract to hire role!

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the end-to-end UX process from discovery to delivery, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define problems, propose solutions, and validate design decisions

  • Lead UX reviews, working across teams to synthesize feedback and input and drive consensus.

  • Create and maintain design documentation, user flows, and interaction patterns in Figma

  • Conduct usability testing and integrate user feedback to continuously improve our digital experiences

  • Champion user-centered, mobile first design practices and contribute to our design system

  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities, participate in A/B testing for continuous improvement of the patient experience

This Role Could Be A Good Fit For You If…
  • You have 6+ years of experience designing digital products, working in a high velocity environment, preferably in telehealth or other regulated industries (bonus if you also have some experience with e-commerce)

  • You have experience working in an fast-paced agile environment and have the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly and effectively to changing requirements

  • You know Figma like the back of your hand and have worked with other prototyping tools

  • You’ve been a solo UX person, owning both research and design when necessary, and are skilled at translating insights into actionable design solutions.

  • You are skilled at communicating design decisions and presenting work to diverse stakeholders for alignment and approval, particularly when it comes to partnering with engineering

  • You are passionate about creating accessible and inclusive digital experiences
