Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for being a financial business partner, helping to cross-functionally support the organization. This will include assisting in, but not limited to: 

  • The month-end close process

  • The annual budget process

  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting

  • Financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis

The ideal candidate for this position is detail oriented, analytical, and has a strong aptitude for problem solving.

What you'll do:

  • Create and maintain complex financial models to analyze various business scenarios, including profitability projections and scenario planning.

  • Assist in developing accurate quarterly and annual financial forecasts based on historical data and business strategies.

  • Assist in the budgeting process by preparing annual budget proposals, identifying and tracking monthly variances to budget, and providing insights to management.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in vendor management for all departments.

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators and be able to create executive-level reporting based on these datasets in a business intelligence software.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic financial plans aligned with overall business objectives.

  • Clearly and concisely communicate complex financial information to senior management through presentations and reports.

  • Assist in the calculation and administration of monthly and quarterly sales commission plans.

  • Organize and structure workload to meet daily, weekly, monthly, & annual deadlines.

  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in financial analysis or related role.

  • Effectively interprets and applies understanding of key financial indicators to make business decisions.

  • Learns through past successes and failures when tackling new problems.

  • Ability to identify and seize opportunities for synergy and integration.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to strategically collaborate and communicate with internal departments and external partners.

  • Ability to handle matters of sensitive and confidential nature.

  • Willingness to learn and grow with the position, department, and company.

How to stand out:

  • Payments industry knowledge and experience highly preferred.

  • Big 4 experience a plus.

  • SaaS knowledge and experience preferred.

Travel: 5-10%

Salary Range: $64,000-$100,000
