What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of both commercial and federal contracts, including CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, OTAs, SBIRs, and STTRs, along with commercial contracts. You will lead contract negotiations, ensure compliance, and implement risk mitigation strategies to support Edge Case’s mission of enabling the safe deployment of frontier technologies. You will also manage Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and leverage contract management platforms like NetSuite and Ironclad to streamline contract data tracking and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Full Lifecycle Contract Management: Manage government contracts (CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, OTAs, SBIRs, STTRs) and commercial contracts from proposal development, execution, modifications, to close-out.
  • Proposal and Pricing Support: Work closely with proposal and capture teams to ensure accurate, compliant responses to RFPs, and develop competitive pricing strategies for both government and commercial contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with legal, finance, engineering, program management, and business development teams to ensure contracts align with Edge Case’s business goals and support the safe deployment of frontier technologies.
  • Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, OTAs, SBIRs, and STTRs regulations while helping to mitigate risks and safeguard Edge Case’s interests.
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs): Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs to ensure confidentiality and protection of sensitive company information.
  • Contract Management Platforms: Utilize NetSuite and Ironclad (or similar platforms) to optimize contract management, track compliance, and generate insightful reports.
  • Contract Close-Out: Lead contract close-out processes, ensuring timely submission of all final deliverables and necessary documentation.
  • Safety Standards: Ensure that safety protocols for frontier technologies are integrated into all contracts and risk management strategies.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful contract execution.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes, policies, and best practices to support Edge Case’s mission.


 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, and admission to practice law in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
  • Contracting Officer Warrant: Unlimited Contracting Officer Warrant is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications:

  • Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition of employment. ECR will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (if not holding a JD).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in government contracting, including experience with CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, OTAs, SBIRs, STTRs, and commercial contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, OTAs, SBIRs, and STTRs regulations.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite for contract management and compliance tracking, and experience with contract management platforms like Ironclad (or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and compliant contract documents.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $165,000.00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Edge Case considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Washington state applicants only: Full-time employees accrue at least 13 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; and receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
