Position Overview: 

The Sr. People Business Partner will be responsible for a wide range of People Team functions tailored to meet the unique needs of our Care Coordination staff. This individual will collaborate closely with leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with our company's values and goals. Additionally, they will play a key role in managing the employee and manager lifecycle while supporting managers with insights into data to support decision making while ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work culture within our Care Coordination teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to Care Coordination leadership on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with department managers to address employee relations issues such as complaints, conflicts, and grievances while resolving conflicts promptly, fairly, and effectively.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with Care Coordination leadership to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and ensure high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
  • Assist in the retention of top talent by participating in the hiring process, conducting interviews, and developing retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with our Learning & Development team to coordinate training and development programs for Care Coordination staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure new hires comply with company policies and procedures by supporting the People Operations team and the onboarding process.
  • Act as a liaison between Care Coordination staff and the People department, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes affecting healthcare professionals, and proactively address any implications for our organization.
  • Support our Poland team members with a deep understanding of global employment laws.
  • Collaborate with other People Team professionals and cross-functional teams to drive organizational success and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee-related issues such as performance, harassment, discrimination, or misconduct.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations, stay informed of changes, and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Assist with performance evaluations and employee development initiatives, working closely with managers to set goals and track progress.
  • Contribute to talent acquisition efforts by providing market insights and local practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
  • Provide timely and professional HR-related support and guidance to employees and managers.
  • Participate in global employee-related projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments and leadership to create and implement HR strategies that support company growth and success.

You will likely have:

  • 7-10+ years of proven working experience in Business Partner roles that specifically have worked with and supported customer operations teams.
  • Telehealth, healthcare, or wellness experience is highly preferred. 
  • Experience working in a start-up environment and creating processes and policies from scratch is highly desirable.
  • People-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases such as Rippling, G Suite, Notion, Lattice as well as other platforms such as Zendesk and Maestro.
  • Ability to influence and coach leaders and individual contributors. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and best practices.
