Healthequity is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Integration Engineer – Intern to join our Netsuite ERP team. The HealthEquity Intern program aims to provide accomplished students the opportunity to develop their skills while supporting the Company’s strategic objectives. Candidates are able to gain real-world experience applying their classroom learnings in a dynamic business environment. They receive coaching and mentoring from an experienced people leader who directs their work and helps ensure their success. HealthEquity interns get the opportunity to sit down with HealthEquity leadership and guest speakers. This speaker series includes our CEO Scott Cutler, our Founder Steve Neeleman, and leaders with expertise in finance, wellbeing, and recruiting. 

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Play a crucial role in system implementation, documenting processes, identifying error conditions, and suggesting potential actions to resolve issues.
  • Reverse engineering programs and creating comprehensive documentation.
  • Build a runbook to manage all running jobs and enable effective troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of the Netsuite ERP system.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundation in Data Structures & Algorithms.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript).
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Familiarity with different operating systems.
  • Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS).
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, joins, indexing, and stored procedures.
  • Exposure to relational (SQL Server, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and HTTP methods.
  • Awareness of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their role in modern applications. Azure Preferred.
  • Understanding of API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, API keys, JWT, etc.).
  • Fundamental knowledge of system integration concepts (APIs, webhooks, ETL, data pipelines).
  • Awareness of message queues and event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka, Azure Service Bus).
  • Knowledge of file-based integrations (CSV, JSON, XML).
  • Exposure to Git, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment strategies is a plus.

**Our program begins May 19th, 2025 and runs through August 8th, 2025.

This is a remote position.

Salary Range: $22-$24 per hour Benefits & Perks:

This is a remote intern opportunity. The rate of pay is $22-$24 per hour and is eligible to receive an internet stipend.
