Senior Integration Test Engineer

Job Summary As a key member of the QA team, the Senior QA Integration Test Engineer will lead the system integration testing strategy for one of our software product families. This role involves developing and implementing end-to-end testing strategies for complex workflows and system integrations. This hands-on technical position requires active participation in test planning, execution, and automation development. You will collaborate with Software QA members and developers to create test strategies, plans, scenarios, and cases within a QA-assisted development model, where software developers share testing accountability. Additionally, you will foster the adoption of automation tools, resolve platform-wide automation challenges, develop self-service tools for scrum teams, and implement complex test automation scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Voice of Quality, ensuring and refining QA processes.
• Develop, execute, and evolve test plans, regression test suites, and test strategies.
• Define testing acceptance criteria and provide data-driven product release recommendations.
• Design and implement functional and system integration test scenarios based on business requirements and user stories.
• Support production teams by recreating and resolving production issues.
• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure compliance with product requirements.
• Drive standardization of automation across all products within the product family.
• Manage and prioritize the automation backlog to maximize business value.
• Provide automation solutions to enhance integration testing and end-to-end workflows.
• Offer technical direction and support for automation strategies, scripting, and software development initiatives.
• Mentor team members and oversee the successful delivery of testing commitments.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Test Engineer.
• Experience with scaled Agile methodologies preferred.
• Expertise in developing automation frameworks (UI, data-driven, and behavior-driven).
• Strong understanding of automation tools, processes, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Proven experience in system integration test planning and execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience coordinating end-to-end testing across multiple teams.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr (preferred).
• Deep technical expertise in software development methodologies and tools.
• Hands-on experience defining and implementing automation for new and existing software applications.
• Self-motivated and action-oriented with the ability to quickly adopt new technologies.
• Experience with Source Control Management tools (Git/GitHub).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Experience using XUnit frameworks.
• Knowledge of database technologies including MariaDB and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with contract testing using Pact (preferred).
• UI automation expertise with frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, and TestCafe.
• Strong understanding of HTTP testing and RESTful architecture.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: C#, Java, Node.js, or Python.
