Status: Contractor

Location: Asunción, Paraguay (Home Office)

Role Summary:

The Program Coordinator (PC) will coordinate the day-to-day operations of local program and logistics requirements. They will work directly with cancer patients and healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists on a daily basis, to ensure that patients have access to medication, care, and support. The PC will support partners by facilitating the importation and distribution of product in country. The PC will also act in a supportive role towards the patient organization in country by providing mentorship and assisting with advocacy activities.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provider shall be responsible for the implementation of Max programs and ensure satisfactory management of the following programs as applicable in line with all program specific guidelines.
  • Treatment Access Program, as Local Program Coordinator role:
    • Responsible for Max Access Solutions (MAS) in the following countries:
      • Argentina
      • Peru
      • Ecuador
      • Chile
    • Manage treatment access program as per guidelines
    • Collect information and document required on referred cases
    • Accuracy in maintaining current patient information in PATS according to the information acquired from physicians and patients
    • Keep updated the contact and referrals logging in PINC
    • Make sure all cases are being contacted at least once every year
    • Make sure all cases are being verified annually
    • Develop strategies to reach patients that are not reachable by phone or email
    • Report all AE learned about patients within 24 hours as per SOP, including source documents management
    • Treat patient information sensitively and protect patient privacy
    • Lead and support clinics including verification and strengthening of dispensing practices
    • Support HCP verification
    • Work with PO and RH in verification of clinics
    • Manage the collection of supply inventory reports and dispense logs from institutions
    • Develop and manage relationship with program stakeholders, including physicians, industry and local authorities if needed
    • Provide support to patients
    • Provide support and assistance to local patient groups
  • Active engagement in Max’s communication platform, to increase team cohesiveness and alignment between individual – country & region team – global team; as well as to better self-equip of organization’s goals, direction, and development.
  • Support team in required projects or specific tasks, as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in Social Work, Public Health, Nursing or a related field
  • Minimum one year of working experience in a healthcare related field; experience in management of medicines or supply chain a plus
  • Comfortable and proficient using computer and phone as primary tools for the job and able to work well independently
  • Communicate clearly with patients, healthcare professionals and involved stakeholders at all levels
  • Fluent in English
  • Well-versed with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented in documentation and reporting
  • Responsible for independent and timely execution of duties
  • Possess own transportation
  • Willing to work on weekends to support patients, as needed
