Working closely with experienced developers and field application scientists, you will contribute to your team to deliver solutions for our clients. You will also receive mentorship and hands-on training to build a solid foundation for a life sciences and genomics career.

Key Responsibilities:
Software Development: Contribute software code on assigned client projects.
Troubleshooting & Client Support: Resolve software issues, ensuring clients receive support for their LIMS needs.
Agile Development: Contribute to software development tasks in an agile environment, attending standups and regularly providing updates on progress/blockers.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of code and system functionality through testing and validation.
Documentation: Maintain clear and concise technical documentation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to adapt and quickly identify the appropriate language, tools, and frameworks for the task;
  • Knowledge of or interest in genomics, bioinformatics, or laboratory science is a plus;
  • Previous experience working in an agile environment or familiarity with agile methodologies;
  • We will be accepting applications until March 21, 2025. The starting salary for this position is between $25.00 and $27.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. This is a remote-first position, with an opportunity to set up a hybrid workstation at our office in downtown Victoria.
