Job description

Role Overview 
The Enrollment Marketing Manager position serves as an advocate for clients who are engaged or interested in future engagement with Encoura through the Enrollment Marketing Services department. The marketing manager works both as an internal champion and as a partner with each client or prospective client to ensure that campaign needs are understood, designed, implemented and satisfied. Responsibilities include scoping projects for prospective clients, creating and leading student search strategies, supporting clients through consulting, design, execution, analysis, and reporting of campaigns. This position utilizes best practices in marketing strategies and consulting to effectively and efficiently meet shared goals. 

A Day in the Life
  • Analyze member institutions’ marketing efforts and areas of need. 
  • Assess prospect purchase history, create recommendations, and lead strategic student search efforts.     
  • Scope projects for prospective clients through analysis of available data, markets and historical activity.  
  • Develop and implement strategic electronic and print communication plans. 
  • Direct the execution of unique solutions for maximum impact to member institutions.  
  • Identify and monitor key metrics in enrollment conversions and marketing initiatives and work directly with members to meet their institutional objectives.   
  • Communicate effectiveness of solutions to member institutions via reoccurring strategic briefs and reporting efforts. 
  • Ensure timely execution for best results to member institutions.  
  • Anticipate impact of, and act on, changes to marketing initiatives in regards to both Encoura and our member institutions.    
  • Provide expertise to a cross functional team responsible for execution of complex marketing service projects.  
  • Have thorough understanding of current trends in enrollment marketing strategies, enrollment metrics, and data-driven enrollment decision making. 
  • Report on campaign outcomes and present options for continued success in future contracts.  
  • Host training sessions for admission professionals to further develop their understanding of best marketing practices. 
  • Participate in session proposals and presentations for varying audiences in higher education.  
  • Support other departments objectives to provide right sized marketing solutions for member institutions. 
  • Impact the lives of millions of colleges going students through partnerships with member institutions. 

  • Role Progression
  • Within 1 month, you’ll: Understand department structure and observe client engagements. 
  • Within 3 months, you’ll: Actively participate in client facing solutions and internal cross functional teams. 
  • Within 6 months, you’ll: Assume responsibility for assigned clients and manage ongoing projects. 
  • Within 1 year, you’ll: Lead project scoping, search strategy, reporting measures, contract renewal conversations and full campaign deliverables. 

  • About you
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred  
  • 5+ years of leadership in a marketing services capacity, preferably in an Office of Admissions, Enrollment Management or Higher Education setting  
  • Significant experience designing and executing complex, goal oriented, marketing campaigns  
  • Ability to understand and communicate multifaceted data to members  
  • Prior involvement in strategic student search purchasing and execution 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting concepts with large audiences 
  • Knowledge of CRM and other admissions technologies preferred 
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products and presentation software  
  • Desire to and skill in presenting data and outcomes  
  • Demonstrates and fosters honesty and integrity

  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities  
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and manage time effectively
