Job description

Location: This position is remote within the West Coast region of The United States.
What’s the role?

As a Creative Director at Huge, you are the force that keeps our storytelling sharp, our work fearless, and our teams inspired. You’ll develop global marketing campaigns, immersive brand experiences, activations, and rebrands—all while leading teams and overseeing execution. You don’t just push the work forward; you push it further, challenging what’s possible and ensuring every project is as smart, bold, and impactful as it can be.

You’re not here to play it safe. You’re here to bring ideas to life in ways that resonate, connect, and move people to action. That means working closely with strategists, designers, technologists, and clients to create meaningful, modern brand narratives. Leadership isn’t just a title—it’s how you operate. You guide, motivate, and shape teams to deliver high-caliber creative, ensuring no talent or opportunity goes to waste. And when you see a gap, you don’t just fill it—you build something better.

As a company that practices innovation in all we do, bringing Intelligent Experiences for clients to engage with audiences in new and relevant ways, we are looking for people who utilize and explore all the latest design tech, especially AI tools for content creation and acceleration.

Note: This role will have you working in the gaming industry, with gaming experience a plus. At minimum, you are an avid gamer and understand the culture of gaming—its communities, its behaviors, and its way of inter-relating between game titles, brands, and customers.

What will you do?

Drive creative excellence:

  • Develop and oversee campaign platforms, immersive brand stories, and content-driven experiences across digital, social, and emerging media.
  • Elevate creative work by setting the vision, pushing teams beyond the obvious, and ensuring a high standard of execution.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and creative sprints, fostering an environment where big ideas take shape and small details don’t get lost.

Lead teams and build talent:

  • Manage and mentor a team of writers, designers, and art directors, helping them grow, stretch, and do the best work of their careers.
  • Provide clear, constructive creative direction, ensuring projects stay sharp, on strategy, and on time.
  • Cultivate a culture of creative risk-taking and collaboration, where feedback builds work up—not tears it down.

Own the client relationship:

  • Serve as the creative face of Huge for clients, ensuring they see us as not just a vendor, but a partner in building their brand.
  • Present and defend creative ideas with confidence, clarity, and strategic reasoning.
  • Navigate feedback and revisions like a pro—balancing client objectives with creative integrity.
What do we expect from you?
  • 8+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, with at least 3+ years in an agency environment.
  • A track record of developing award-winning campaigns, platforms, and experiences.
  • A deep understanding of advertising, content, experiential, social, brand development, and digital marketing.
  • Strong conceptual oversight—able to refine ideas, steer creative direction, and keep projects on track and on budget.
  • Leadership that’s both inspiring and practical—you know how to motivate, mentor, and manage teams.
  • Presentation and communication skills that make clients sit up and pay attention.
  • A knack for prioritizing work and resources across multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.
What’s a plus?
  • Deep expertise in the gaming industry—having built campaign platforms specifically for gaming brands.
  • A pulse on current design trends, storytelling innovations, and emerging tech.
  • Experience in thought leadership—whether through published articles, talks, panels, or industry events.

This role is currently not available for hire or work in New Mexico, and Hawaii, USA.
