This Creative Director role oversees the creative team and is responsible for driving and executing creative strategy, brand consistency, and exceptional quality across all campaigns and marketing assets as measured by corresponding engagement metrics. Coordinate all creative assets and ensure consistency in visual and messaging elements across all channels, including digital, print, social media, and advertising
Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring all content reflects brand values, tone, and personality
Collaborate with the marketing and cross functional teams to develop high-impact visual and content strategies for digital platforms, optimizing against critical metrics for awareness, engagement and conversion
Find opportunities for efficiency through shared resources and platforms (ie Canva)
Work with the Marketing Manager to **coordinate** team of freelance talent (videographers, editors, copywriters) to produce on-brand impactful campaigns and assets
Manage end-to-end content production for digital, print, and video, ensuring efficient processes and adherence to timelines and budget
Provide creative oversight and direction for photoshoots, video production, and other content development activities
Apply data and user insights to guide content strategies that resonate with the target audience and drive measurable results
Operate as a creative practitioner (e.g. graphics, video editing, copy) to complete workload
Edit and produce marketing videos, including social media content, promotional materials, and ad campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand standards and marketing objectives. Combine technical video editing skills with creative storytelling to improve audience engagement and campaign impact.
In partnership with the Business Intelligence Developer, track, analyze, and report on the efficiency of creative initiatives, using metrics to gauge engagement, brand impact, and return on investment
Use insights to refine creative strategies, testing new approaches and optimizing assets based on performance data

Collaborate on and contribute to organizational efforts and goals
8+ years in a creative role, with at least 3 years in a creative leadership or director role within an agency or in-house setting
Expertise in brand strategy, visual storytelling, and coordinated campaign development
Proficiency in design and creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma), video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro), and familiarity with video and multimedia production
Strong knowledge of After Effects for crafting animations and motion graphics
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media trends, and content optimization
Strong project management skills
Demonstrated ability to evaluate talent and assemble a team of freelance creatives to support fluctuating and diverse needs of the organization

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate this full-time, salary position will pay $110,000 - $115,000 per year depending on the education, experience, and skill level of the individual we hire. We also offer a phenomenal benefits package that includes fully paid primary premiums for health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, and disability insurance. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched up to 5% by the organization. Plus, a generous vacation, sick, and holiday offering.
