Overview
As an industry game changer, IGT is the world’s leading gaming technology company focused on design and development of cutting edge, casino-style entertainment. IGT is interested in hiring a seasoned project manager with strong process and analytical abilities who is fluent in general American English. Knowledge of SDLC methodology is an asset, particularly in the areas of documentation, development and testing. The remote role will require availability during the hours of 8:00 am – 11:00 am Pacific Standard Time. Objective and Purpose
The Casino Systems Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a product or service project for a client, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems, system integration or consulting projects/engagements. The successful candidate will lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. Responsibility for other business processes and applications may change as business conditions warrant.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Create and manage project plans, specifically for process improvement projects
• Manage project team and conduct project meetings
• Record and manage scope, risks, issues and quality of output and deliver projects on time
• Report to differing levels of management on project status
• Identify and implement improvements in our operational processes to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance R&D deliveries
• Engagement when required in efforts to improve our SDLC processes and supporting roles
• Share insights with your manager when you encounter improvement opportunities
• Assist with analysis-to-implementation of process improvement opportunities upon request
• Work with business partners to document and evaluate the “as-is” processes and to determine the “to be “business processes.
• May be required to run internal meetings including stakeholders from a wide array of business partners.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years project management experience managing information technology (IT) based projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in General American English
• Experience with process and process improvement
• Group meeting facilitation skills
• Demonstrated experience in collecting, documenting, assimilating, estimating and prioritizing requirements with business input.
• Previous experience as Systems/Business/Process Analyst is an asset
• Experience working with global teams
• Self-starter that can figure out how to get things done
• Comfortable leading people, teams and gaining alignment among differing stakeholders
• Problem identification and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio
• Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, JIRA, and MS Project is an asset
• PMP desired but not essential
• Casino gaming knowledge and experience is an asset
