The Team:

The Organizational Planning & Analytics team leads the People function’s data strategy, people analytics, and workforce planning capabilities. We are dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in data governance and AI+ data readiness in the People function. It is a dynamic team focused on building a people data ecosystem to help our leaders and people team partners to understand our people’s experiences and organizational health to drive insights, actions, and intelligent decision making to deliver on business outcomes.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Lead the development and implementation of data governance and engineering strategies to optimize data usage, quality, and security within HR functions.
  • Collaborate with HR data owners, data stewards to ensure our master and reference data is clear and we adhere to established data quality standards.
  • Design and manage data architecture that supports the connection of business intelligence platforms through a data lake, enhancing data accessibility and analytics capabilities.
  • Partner with our People Technology peers to maximize utilization of best-in-class HR systems, such as Workday and Visier, to enhance HR data management and analytics capabilities.
  • Manage data pipelining processes to ensure efficient and accurate data flow across HR systems.
  • Enforce enterprise data policies and standards within HR processes.
  • Lead and manage a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $132,913 to $197,156. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in data governance models, data engineering, and data pipelining (preferably within HR or People functions)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or other coding languages
  • Proven expertise with Human Capital Management Systems, particularly Workday.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and experience with connecting business intelligence platforms through a data lake and experience implementing and maintaining cloud-based data warehouses and curating a semantic layer that meets the needs of business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of and experience working with various analytics/reporting technologies with particular experience in corporate functions like HR/People.
  • 10+ years of experience as a data engineer, analytics engineer, business intelligence analyst, or data scientist
  • Team management experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including ability to clearly explain deliverables/results to non-technical audiences

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred in Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience in implementing and managing data governance frameworks in a multinational organization
  • Familiarity with EMEA data protection regulations and global data security, privacy and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business process changes to align with data policies and complete work iteratively in an agile environment
