In-House Healthcare Corporate Paralegal

Our client, a healthcare startup company, is seeking a mid-level paralegal to join the company on a full-time basis. The company acquires, invests in, and commercializes biomedical data assets and then sells the proprietary biomedical data libraries to the Pharmaceutical industry to support their drug development efforts. The best candidates will be paralegals with familiarity working either with or within healthcare systems. The paralegal will be responsible for handling the transactional data assets and for preparing incorporation documents for the company, among other tasks. This is a great position for a paralegal with an entrepreneurial spirit looking to join a startup company at its early stages. This position is fully remote.

Basic Requirements for the In-House Healthcare Corporate Paralegal:

• 5+ years of experience serving as a healthcare paralegal; experience at an academic medical center, hospital or healthcare system/facility or a specialized healthcare law firm is preferred
• Strong contract drafting and review experience; strong transaction law experience; strong corporate law experience including formation and incorporation and related tax matters
• Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree; relevant work experience may substitute for educational requirement
• Highly professional, well organized, detail-oriented, positive attitude, and outstanding communication skills
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to properly handle confidential information and records
• Willing to perform all levels of work
• Outstanding references

Position Details of the In-House Healthcare Corporate Paralegal:

• Type of role: Engagement to Permanent or Permanent
• Schedule: Full-time
• Location: Remote/WFH

Compensation:

• Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 or more. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
• Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available.
