Job description

Monadelphous Heavy Lift provide a world-class heavy lift service, with an extensive range of the state-of-the-art heavy lift cranes and equipment. We provide significant heavy lift and transport capability based on an owned-and-operated heavy crane fleet and specialist equipment. Supported by a specialist team in the heavy lift department, we can engineer, plan and execute large scale lifting and transport projects in Australia. Due to exponential growth, we are seeking a Contracts Administrator to join the team Join our team at Victoria Park Head Office, where you'll be a team player in supporting high-profile projects. This role offers an immediate start and combines office-based responsibilities with on-site visits, providing a comprehensive and exciting work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drafting and negotiating subcontracts, administration, variation and claims including upstream recovery, through to closeout
* Participating in the review and assisting with the administration, negotiation and execution of variations and claims to client contracts and subcontracts
* Contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment
* Identify and maximise cost and schedule saving opportunities
* High level written skills with excellent attention to detail
* Involved in the process of identifying and raising potential risks or issues
* Providing a level of guidance and advice, to relevant stakeholders internal and external
* Interpreting contractual documentation and making recommendations for action
* Manage and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

What you’ll bring:

* Site Construction / Engineering experience, with a desire to move into a more commercial role will be considered
* At least 3-5 years of Contracts experience, ideally within the resources sector
* Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying would be highly advantageous but not essential
* Demonstrate an understanding of current contract law, relevant legislation and its application to the mining and oil and gas industries
* Strong understanding of various contract models (lump sum, cost reimbursable, schedule of rates etc)
* Adaptability to provide coverage for on-site Contracts Administrators during their annual and sick leave
