Base pay is influenced by several factors including a candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and anticipated contributions to meet the needs of the business, along with internal pay equity and external market driven rates. The salary range displayed has not been adjusted for geographical location. Dominion National, a rapidly growing and leading provider of dental and vision benefits has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Provider Development Manager.
The Provider Development Manager will be responsible for recruitment of dentists in the network according to established goals and priorities. This individual will also be responsible for the maintenance of the network as required. This highly visible and remote role will require a motivated individual with excellent sales, interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to meeting and/or exceeding goals.
Responsibilities And Qualifications
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Recruiting and retaining dentists within the network according to established goals and priorities to enhance the company's ability to promote a network to current and potential customers.
Conducting follow-up phone calls to dental practices who have requested information, have been nominated by members, or have been targeted as part of a more global recruitment effort.
Conducting visits to dental offices in territory through cold calls and appointments.
Monitoring, analyzing and developing strategies for improving network participation and performance.
Participating in community events where providers are present (e.g., dental conferences).
Establishing relationships with key administrators of new and participating group practices.
Negotiating fee schedules with dental practices in accordance with the discounts as required and review for completeness.
Working with Manager of Provider Relations to monitor, analyze and develop strategies for improving network participation.
Working with providers to assist with issue resolution (contract disputes, grievances, claims, etc.) as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
The Minimum Qualifications For The Ideal Candidate Include
High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum 1 year of recruiting/sales experience.
Ability to travel 25-50%, with some overnight travel required as needed.
Highly motivated with proven ability to meet sales/recruiting goals.
Insurance industry experience, dental preferred.
Possess a strong orientation towards the optimal customer experience.
Excellent negotiation skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment and be a self-starter.
Must be able to function with minimal supervision and be able to prioritize all work tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic knowledge of Salesforce.com
