Job Details

The Associate Consultant will play a vital role in supporting the execution of consulting engagements. This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates who are eager to begin a dynamic career in healthcare consulting. You will work on diverse projects across multiple disciplines, providing strategic and operational solutions to a wide range of healthcare organizations. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational and administrative skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. The Associate Consultant will take full ownership of action items, execute tasks, and support the team in delivering high-quality consulting services to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • With oversight from the Senior Director/Director, work closely with clients to understand their business challenges, gather and analyze data, and develop insights and recommendations.

  • Provide critical support during consulting engagements, ensuring all tasks and deliverables are completed accurately and timely.

  • Ensure the execution of tasks, either by completing them personally or coordinating with appropriate team members.

  • Lead client meetings, maintaining professionalism and clarity in communication.

  • Effectively understand and summarize detailed information into desired format (ie action plan, presentation, etc).

  • Assist with identifying & documenting engagement risks and potential mitigation strategies.

  • Assist in identifying, structuring, and solving complex business problems using quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • Prepare presentations, reports, and agendas for client meetings and internal reviews.

  • Conduct detailed data analysis to support identifying trends, insights, and opportunities for clients.

  • Develop financial models to support business recommendations and strategies.

  • Support the development of financial forecasts and budgets for consulting projects.

  • Collaborate effectively with various business units and associates including facilitating projects across Cencora businesses.

  • Provide support on projects which require commitment from interdepartmental and external resources.

  • Handle organizational and administrative tasks to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Manage time and calendars for Senior Directors/Directors, scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments as needed.

  • Arrange and coordinate project related travel and logistics, when needed.

  • Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance consulting skills and industry knowledge.

  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet assigned responsibilities.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field is required. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated leadership experience through extracurricular activities or academic projects.

  • Additionally, knowledge of the healthcare industry, including direct experience with pharmaceutical distribution and its related customer base, is also preferred.

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, maintaining composure under pressure. Proactive and self-motivated.

  • Project management aptitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Ability to generate highly polished presentations that clearly communicate insights and recommendations.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).

  • Strong financial acumen and experience in financial analysis.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Access to a major airport and the ability to travel up to 75% is required

  • Frequent travel to client / project sites is required

$72,200 - 103,290

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
