Your mission

You collaborate closely with product management and development teams to gather and structure information on new or improved features
You take internal technical information and transform it into clear, user-friendly documentation
You describe functionality of the Checkmk software for users of all levelsâfrom beginners to advanced IT professionals
You work collaboratively in a team to ensure and continuously improve the quality of the content provided
Together with the team, you own the full lifecycle of a documentation article, from creation to maintenance and eventual retirement
You develop and refine internal style guides to keep documentation consistent and efficient
You design and implement strategies to enhance knowledge sharing and documentation quality

Your profile

You have several years of experience, ideally professional, in writing texts and communicating technical content
You know how to make technical topics engaging and present complex concepts in a clear, helpful, and compelling way
You have a sound didactic understanding of what makes well-structured content and can actively apply this knowledge
You have excellent written and spoken German skills, as well as fluent English
You have a basic understanding of IT that goes beyond the use of end-user devices. Ideally, you can follow discussions on these topics well:
- Managing Linux and Windows servers
- Functionality and operation of data centers, databases, networks, and related technologies
- Concepts and purpose of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services, virtual environments
- Monitoring hardware and software to ensure functionality and performance
You're not afraid of the Linux command line and you are no stranger to typical developer tools like Git, Jira, Visual Studio Code
Ideally, you already have some experience with the markup languages AsciiDoc or Markdown
You enjoy working in a team with other writers and translators and have strong communication skills
