Position Details

  • Compensation: $18-22 hourly + quarterly bonuses.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours; full-time
  • Location: Remote

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the patient insurance authorization process required for services requested by clinical staff.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers to initiate and track pre-certification/authorization requests.
  • Proactively ensure all necessary documentation is submitted for payment timely.
  • Advise clinical teams on changes in reimbursement practices and authorization processes.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clinical staff regarding updates on insurance authorization outcomes.
  • Educate and counsel patients on insurance coverage and available payment options.
  • Alert location management to any issues that may result in lapses in authorization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferences

  • Bilingual: Spanish-speaking is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Office-based role during agency operating hours.
  • May involve exposure to allergens or varying environmental conditions.
