Business Analyst - Functional Requirements - UN Agency

For one of our projects with a UN Agency, NTT DATA is looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Application System Analyst to work remotely full-time. The consultant will define the detailed functional and technical requirements for the implementation of the Database and the Centralized Accounting and Reporting Platform.

Your responsibilities:

• Record quantitative information on ITMOs, corresponding adjustments and emissions balances included in reports submitted by participating Parties.
• Enable compilation of submitted information and thereby support its inclusion in the structured summary required as part of the biennial transparency report.
• Automate detection of inconsistencies (consistency check procedure)
• Publish non-confidential information stored in the database, including in relation to the results of the consistency check procedure.
• Provide a portal for participating Parties to submit information.
• Provide workflows for processing submissions, safe storage for submitted information, and an area for each participating Party to support the preparation of its submissions and to support communication.
• Clear and detailed identification of all critical deliverables within the project plan.
• Validation and approval of the project plan and assessment criteria by relevant teams (e.g., Mitigation Division and procurement stakeholders).

Your profile:

• A minimum of 7 years of broad-based experience in application analysis focusing upon IT application, with significant experience in the relevant functional area(s).
• Must have strong analysis & investigation skills.
• Must be a self-starter who can own and drive the collection of complete, correct, deliverable functional requirements and business processes, rather than just ask questions.
• Must be a team player, experienced in working with others to achieve an objective.
• Must be able to lead a team of Business Analysts, when required, showing ownership and responsibility for the team's deliverables.
• Ability to create, tailor and adhere to methodology standards.
• Expert knowledge of data analysis and conceptual / logical data modelling.
• Expert knowledge of a recognized Application Development Life Cycle such including traditional, iterative and rapid and agile development methodologies.
• Good understanding of internet and client/server architectures.
• Possesses working knowledge of HTML, SQL, and database design.
• Capable of acting as the face of IT, developing relationships and fostering trust with business users.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
• Must be project-oriented, customer-focused and responsive, with a professional manner.
• Experience in performing user acceptance testing and/or leading user acceptance testing exercises.
• Experience in document management
• Experience in business process management
• Experience working in diverse, multicultural organizations.
