At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team in Colombia. You will contribute to innovative projects in a collaborative, transforming, and multicultural environment.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will lead the design and development of scalable backend services, employing Java, Spring Boot, and various messaging technologies. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure high-quality deliverables that align with client expectations and drive our commitment to Collaboration, Innovation, and Transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and technical solutions.

Maintain and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.

Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Write unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of learning and growth.

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must-have Skills:

Proficiency in Java 17+

Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Strong knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks

English Level: B2

Nice-to-have Skills:

Experience with Azure cloud services

Familiarity with Camunda for workflow automation
