What you’ll be doing:

• Maintaining QC laboratory cleanliness and general maintenance.
• Calibration of equipment and preparation of various in house stock solutions.
• Using our Quality Management System for ISO compliance.
• Assisting in product formulation (preparation of reagents for sale).
• Helping in processing of existing enzyme products and packing.
• Assisting in retention stock management projects.
• Maintaining all laboratory notebooks, records and reports to a high standard.
• Following SOPs and H&S procedures.
• Performing Biochemical analysis (particularly carbohydrate and enzyme assays) of raw materials, in process samples, intermediates and finished products by traditional wet chemistry and biochemical techniques (i.e. spectrophotometry) or other relevant techniques.
• Fully supporting the ISO team in continues compliance with all ISO requirements.

About you:

• You’ll have Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) knowledge and experience.
• You’ll be familiar with the equipment used in Biochemical laboratories.
• You’ll ideally have at least 1 years laboratory experience.
• You’ll be able to read and interpret technical data and procedures.
• You’ll have excellent record keeping, IT and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to and prioritise a busy workload.
• Having knowledge of Quality Management Systems would be an advantage.
• You’ll possess a third level qualification in a science related field.
