HR Benefit Administrator

The benefits administrator position is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.) Also ensures accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Responsible for withholding and processing all deductions associated with benefits.

·       Handles benefit information and deductions that go into team member payroll.

·       Maintain benefit files hardcopy.

·       Reconcile benefit carrier bills.

·       Handles the termination, enroll and separation of team members.

·       Complete employment verifications as requested.

·       Process various personnel file management tasks.

·       Handles and maintains Worker’s Comp claims.

·       Monitors all claims and liaises with the team member, manager and insurance company.

·       Completes annual CAL OSHA Reports.

·       Work with third party vendor to stablishing and maintain a leave of absence schedules for team members.

·       Maintains records of leave of absence and related information.

·       Provides payroll and HR support to internal clients.

·       Processes the calculation of final wage payments for separated team members and communicates appropriate information to supervisors as needed.

·       Assist during Payroll processing.

·       Various other tasks which required of the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in human resources

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, workers’ compensation, and leaves of absences

  • Detail-oriented

  • Reliable transportation

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple projects under pressure.
  • Ability to manager several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in benefits contract language and compliance requirements

  • Valid California driver’s license

  • Proof of auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PlanSource UltiPro payroll system

  • Familiarity with benefits enrollment software.

  • Experience with communicating and coordinating with remote hiring managers

  • Experience coordinating with remote teams and building vendor relationships.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
