Marketing Sr. Manager, HCP Non-Personal Promotions and Media - Bone Franchise

What you will do

In this vital role as the Senior Manager, HCP Non-Personal Promotions and Media you will play a meaningful role in the growth trajectory of the Bone Health franchise, a priority Amgen business. This position leads the strategic planning and deployment of the HCP media budget, working closely with the Omnichannel lead, internal GCC Media team and our external media agency and partners. They will design a ground breaking media plan to deliver on key brand objectives, lead ongoing execution measurement and optimization of the plan, drive content planning and creative development and prioritization, and play a meaningful role in the fulfillment of our vision for an integrated end to end, automated marketing eco-system. This position will have accountability for significant media investment with expectations to achieve meaningful impact and achieve brand objectives for growth. To that end, this position will require strategic thought, leadership, cross-functional collaboration, creativity and a strong ability to employ a ‘customer-first’ mentality.

  • Lead overarching digital media strategy and execution to ensure that brand/business objectives are met
  • Identify appropriate target customers within MCM segmentation
  • Orchestrate content within multiple channels including Search, Custom Programs, Programmatic and Social Media
  • Overall accountability for breakthrough digital creative assets, from brief to launch, including content mapping to ensure that creative delivers against the channel/placement
  • Lead the development of media plans and, in partnership with the media agency, ensure that media is continually optimized
  • Develop and track the measurement of key metrics for the media mix, HCP engagement, and advertising effectiveness in collaboration with the internal media team
  • Partner with internal and external analytics partners to assess performance, and drive plan adjustments, optimizations and suggest strategic changes as needed
  • Build upon the existing franchise technological roadmap, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the best possible customer experience
  • Collaborate closely with other key team members, including DTI, Commercial Data and Analytics, Marketing Operations, HCP promo and Peer to Peer to ensure alignment and integrations of plans across teams and customers
  • Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable impactful and compliant HCP communications
  • Manage budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all programs
  • Lead several agency relationships, including media and creative agency of record
  • Domestic travel up to 25%

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of media marketing, promotional marketing, or relevant marketing experience

OR

Master’s degree and 4 years of media marketing, promotional marketing, or relevant marketing experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of media marketing, promotional marketing, or relevant marketing experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 10 years of media marketing, promotional marketing, or relevant marketing experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of media marketing, promotional marketing, or relevant marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with web, mobile, internet, social media and healthcare technologies
  • Experience working with media agencies and channel partners to build and optimize effective media plans
  • Critical thinker with ability to challenge status quo
  • Demonstrated strength in analytics to translate data into insights and indicated actions
  • Experience working with advertising agencies to develop and produce engaging creative
  • Strong bias for action, proactivity and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and live up to the highest ethical standards
  • Excellent communication skills and self-awareness
  • Ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization
  • Experience in HCP NPP marketing and media, preferably within pharmaceuticals

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
