Permanently Remote: This position is eligible to be fully remote
Must have experience creating and maintaining applications that process HIPAA X12 EDI transactions

What will YOU be doing for us? Development and support of multiple data ingestion processes, both proprietary and EDI, leveraging a modern data streaming architecture

What will YOU be working on every day?

Actively participate in EDI modernization development effort to sunset SSIS and implement Streaming (Kafka/Redpanda) including maintaining legacy processes in SSIS
Actively participate on an Agile scrum team, sizing work efforts and decomposing functionality and iteratively delivering value.
Reverse engineer documentation from production code for existing undocumented processes
Work collaboratively with internal resources to assess and understand technical specifications and business requirements for new systems including data streaming modernization initiatives.
Maintain responsibility for timely and accurate project completion.
Unit test development
Triage production issues and affect solutions
Performance and optimization analysis.
Research, define, and implement new methods to modify the system to improve workflows.

What qualifications do YOU need to have to be GOOD candidate?

Required Level of Education, Licenses, and/or Certificates
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related degree or equivalent years of experience.
Required Level of Experience
- 2+ years of professional work experience in a software engineering role in healthcare EDI
- Demonstrated experience with developing REST API’s, .NET Core, .NET 8, services
- Previous experience in successful technical training of co-workers.

- Strong knowledge of database application and data query protocol (MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL).
- Strong knowledge of C#
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong knowledge of Agile Methodology
- Ability to manage projects to successful outcomes within required timeframes.
- Basic knowledge of health industry

Knowledge and proficiency in:
- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript:
  - Bootstrap
  - Typescript
  - Angular (current version)
  - React
  - Vue
- Strong knowledge of SSIS/SSRS
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server stored procedures

Preferred Level of Experience
- Previous experience using EDI Fabric
- Familiarity with the HL7 Standards
- Previous healthcare management experience.
- Previous data integration experience using modern data streaming technologies (Kafka, Redpanda) building producer, consuming producer, and leveraging associated patterns
