Job Description

150+ is the number of new analytical methods developed and validated within the Microbiological Quality Control and AS&T (Analytical Science and Technology) team in a year. Join us and, by working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will gain key skills and help co-create the "new" Sandoz and Lek!

As a Quality Control Specialist Microbiology, you will be responsible for professional work in the microbiology and analytical field, including writing protocols and procedures, validating methods, communicating with analysts (taking care of your area, coordinating and planning work), conducting deviation surveys, taking care of analytical equipment, writing instructions for process documentation, participating in inspections and other similar tasks.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Resolving microbiological analytical deviations and implementing preventive/corrective actions
  • Ensuring that all activities carried out are in line with current good practices, including data integrity
  • Review and approval of analytical data/tests (analytical release of samples).
  • Responsibility for validation and troubleshooting of analytical methods in accordance with requirements and support for the introduction of new methods and techniques.
  • Participating in the selection of new equipment and maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensuring the competence of colleagues for the job.
  • Responsibility for the production and revision of general, operating procedures, certificates of analysis, analytical and registration documentation.
  • Ensuring that analytical documentation is properly processed and archived.
  • Supporting the continuous readiness for inspections in their area of responsibility and communication with the clients of the analyses.

What you will bring to the role:

  • A university degree in microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacy, chemistry or another natural science.
  • Active knowledge of English and fluency in Slovenian.
  • Preferably work experience in quality, development, production or other relevant fields.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

We offer a temporary employmentwith a 6-month probation period.
