About the role
We are seeking a dedicated, value-aligned Head of Marketing and Communications to join our dynamic team at Gnosis.
In this leadership role, you will sit at the top of both product marketing and Gnosis core communications to drive strategy and execution across several retail products. With a strong foundation in building blockchain protocols and a well-established reputation within the Ethereum space, Gnosis is expanding into the retail market.Â
You will play a crucial role in informing product decisions, establishing our brand, creating awareness, and driving customer acquisition and retention strategies while managing a team of marketing professionals with diverse expertise. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing our PR agency, ensuring that our external communications effectively support our strategic objectives. Our goal is to leverage the unique value propositions of blockchain technology to build genuinely better products for regular people and grow our reputation into more mainstream markets.
Key ResponsibilitiesFeedback and Guidance for Product Development
Market and Customer Insights: Gather customer feedback through surveys, focus groups, and user testing to identify opportunities for product enhancement.
Inform Strategic Decisions: Continuously monitor market trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape to provide actionable insights for product development.
Marketing Strategy and Planning:
Develop Strategies:Â Craft and execute marketing strategies that align with Gnosisâ business objectives and the product roadmaps for our diverse retail portfolio.
Market Research:Â Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify target segments, effective positioning, and key differentiators.
Goal Setting: Define clear marketing goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and budget allocations to maximize resource utilization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across product development and business development to ensure cohesive and aligned marketing initiatives.
Branding and Positioning:
Brand Strategy:Â Develop and articulate a compelling brand strategy and messaging framework that resonates with target audiences across our retail products.
Maintain Consistency: Define and uphold brand guidelines to ensure a consistent brand identity across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints.
Brand Building: Lead initiatives in content marketing, social media, and public relations to strengthen and build the Gnosis brands in the retail space.
Customer Acquisition:
Identify customer acquisition channels and develop effective marketing campaigns to drive awareness, generate leads, and convert prospects into customers.
Optimize digital marketing strategies, including search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), and social media advertising.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement growth hacking techniques and viral marketing strategies to accelerate customer acquisition.
Community Engagement and Retention:
Develop community engagement strategies to foster long-term relationships and increase user loyalty
Analyze customer behavior, feedback, and market trends to refine marketing strategies and improve customer satisfaction.
Public Relations and Agency Management
PR Agency Oversight:Â Manage and coordinate with our external PR agency to ensure that public relations activities align with our strategic goals.
Media Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and stakeholders to secure positive coverage and enhance our brand reputation.
Campaign Coordination: Work with the PR agency to plan, execute, and monitor press releases, media events, and other public-facing communications.
Performance Monitoring:Â Track the performance of PR initiatives and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.
Events Strategy and Execution
Event Planning: Develop and execute a robust events strategy that aligns with overall marketing objectives and enhances brand visibility in both the blockchain and mainstream markets. Which events should be attended by whom? Should there be a sponsorship? Etc.
End-to-End Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events, including conferences (dappcon and devconflict) and community meetups.
Stakeholder Collaboration:Â Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure events deliver engaging, on-brand experiences that support customer acquisition and retention goals.
Performance Analysis:Â Monitor and evaluate the success of events through feedback and analytics, using insights to refine future event strategies.
Analytics and Reporting:
Establish marketing analytics frameworks and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies, improve conversion rates, and increase ROI.
