Job Title: Public Health Program Associate
Employment Type: Full-Time (Not to Exceed 1,040 Hours)
Work Mode: Remote with In-State Travel
General Summary:

The Office on Women's Health is seeking a Public Health Program Associate to support the Advanced Nursing Education - Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (ANE-SANE) education and retention program. This role is responsible for facilitating and coordinating educational opportunities across Missouri by managing logistics, assisting with learner applications, and ensuring the smooth execution of program activities.

This is an entry-level professional position involving the planning, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs, services, and grants. The selected candidate will work closely with partners, contractors, and agencies, ensuring effective coordination and data management while engaging with community health initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate educational training programs for the ANE-SANE initiative, ensuring facilities, instructors, and materials are arranged efficiently.
  • Assist in processing learner applications, maintaining accurate records of enrolled participants.
  • Organize travel accommodations for course instructors and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communications between the multidisciplinary team, potential learners, and external partners.
  • Enter and manage survey data in Excel, compiling reports for program evaluation.
  • Distribute course materials to learners and maintain an organized database of resources.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator in ensuring program goals are met, including progress reporting and program efficacy tracking.
  • Support public health outreach initiatives, engaging with community health professionals and stakeholders.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse individuals and populations.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in data entry and management, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically in a fast-paced public health environment.
  • Knowledge of public health program implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), video conferencing tools, and online survey platforms.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, mental health, education, social services, public or business administration, healthcare, or a closely related field.
    (Relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for any deficiencies in required education.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build partnerships and network effectively within the public health sector.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in public health program coordination or educational program management.
  • Background in healthcare, public health, or community outreach.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a professional setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with state health policies and regulations.

Employment & Work Schedule:
  • Weekend or Evening Work: Not Required
  • Travel:
    • In-state travel required, including occasional overnight stays.
    • Minimal out-of-state travel may be necessary.
