The Role 

We are looking for a Product Owner with Live Production and video streams processing domain experience to work with our global R&D teams on our groundbreaking AMPP Platform that deals with video signal processing, live production, playout, asset management tools and many more. The product owner will be responsible for defining the product backlog and making business critical decisions on backlog priorities.  

The Product Owner is expected to work together with the R&D development team, product management, CTO, presales teams, devops and delivery engineers, project managers and customer support organization to get detailed information on backlog scope and make best decisions on priorities. Other responsibilities include supporting the team, finding out all necessary information to enrich the backlog, managing backlog items, and optimizing the value of the product(s). Product Owner is also responsible for knowing the product, explaining it to the selected users and engineers, and making sure that that knowledge is properly stored, shared and used with any means necessary. You should also be able to learn and teach others about the organization's vision and mission.   

As a product owner, you should have the ability to plan and manage the development project from start to finish and ensure that the product(s) meet the customer's needs. A top-notch product owner will be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. A detailed understanding of vision mixing and real-world broadcast experience will also be essential. Our R&D organization is global: Canada, UK, Malaysia, and Poland (Kraków) this role can be 100% remote.  

Primary responsibilities of the role include: 

• Defining product features according to customer (external and internal) needs.   

• Leading the development process.   

• Acting as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders.   

• Managing and prioritizing product backlog items.   

• Assisting the scrum/product development team to meet the objectives of each sprint.   

• Adjusting and improving each iteration of the product before release.   

• Identifying areas of improvement.   

• Keeping customers and stakeholders informed of the status of the product.   

• Strategizing and presenting ideas to stakeholders.   

• Working with the presales team to help with designing solutions for key strategic customers.  

• Visiting customers to understand how they are using our products, exchange knowledge about the product and to elicit feedback. 

What you’ll need to be successful 

• BA in computer science, information systems, or related field.   

• Broadcast experience with video stream processing, live production, stream routing domain knowledge 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn about the product, use AMPP Platform and teach others about the product. 

• Effective communication skills, written and verbal.   

• We are communicating in English, knowing other languages on top is a big plus.  

Other Requirements 

• Fluency in Confluence, JIRA and AzureDevOps.   

• Previous working experience as a product owner.   

• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies.   

• Experience in Sphinx, GIT, markdown, Linux. 

• Experience in Media, Broadcast, OTT, Consumer devices industries.   

• Experience in UI and/or UX design.   

• Experience in software quality assurance.   

• Any SCRUM or equivalent certificate for Product Owner or other.   

• Understanding of AWS cloud services.
