This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 3pm-11pm Manila, PH
  • With 1 hour unpaid break (7 working hours per day)
  • Must be online for the client 7am-10am (EST) for communication and correspondence

Job Description

Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of multi-location restaurant finance? We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Bookkeeper to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be the financial backbone of a growing restaurant empire, managing everything from daily transactions to complex payroll systems. You’ll leverage your expertise in QuickBooks Online to handle a diverse array of tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations across all 10 locations. Responsibilities
  • Dive into the daily financial operations of 10 thriving restaurants, processing anywhere from 10 to 150 invoices each day
  • Take charge of payroll management for 10 separate company entities, ensuring every team member is paid accurately and on time
  • Juggle accounts payable for 10-15 suppliers per store, maintaining excellent relationships with vendors
  • Perform daily bookkeeping wizardry using QuickBooks Online, keeping all financial records spotless and up-to-date
  • Navigate the complexities of Canadian tax regulations, preparing and submitting government remittances with confidence
  • Generate insightful financial reports that will guide business decisions and fuel growth
  • Collaborate closely with the management team, providing valuable financial insights and recommendations
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, safeguarding sensitive financial information
  • Adapt to new challenges and responsibilities as the business continues to expand and evolve
Requirements
  • Proven track record as a bookkeeper, with experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry being a major plus
  • QuickBooks Online expertise - you should be able to navigate this software in your sleep!
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian (specifically Ontario) tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Eagle-eye attention to detail and a knack for maintaining pinpoint accuracy, even when juggling multiple tasks
  • Ability to efficiently manage high volumes of transactions without breaking a sweat
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated go-getter with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills as the business grows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
