The Head of Carrier Sales is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive partner strategy (sell-to, sell-with, sell-through) for our carrier business, encompassing sales, marketing, portfolio development, joint go-to-market plans, and partner executive engagement. The role is located in the Central Region and is reporting to the Head of the Central (DACH & CEE Region).
About the team
This role owner is accountable for fostering the partnership with our strategic Service Provider Deutsche Telekom and for building new partnerships with carriers in the region (such as Telekom Austria, Swisscom), covering the sell-to, sell-with, and sell-through sales motions.
The Carrier Channel leader will work with cross-functional teams to establish clear business priorities and measurable objectives in the areas of sales, business development, relationship management, portfolio, operational and technical acumen.
Responsibilities
Lead the Carriers Channel Account Management team with a strong focus on DTAG initially.
Build and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies to drive monthly recurring revenue (MRR) bookings and exceed quarterly targets with DTAG.
Manage partner relationships, acting as the main point of contact across partner sales, product, marketing, engineering, and executive teams.
Qualify and build new carrier partnerships with carriers in the Central region.
Drive alignment and regular communication between key Zoom and partner stakeholders.
Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and quantitative and qualitative GTM activities.
Collaborate with sales, product, product marketing, and engineering to define strategies.
Identify and drive new business development opportunities within the partner ecosystem.
Coordinate with Zoom HQ stakeholders to drive priority and accountability for new service offerings and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with the Partner and Zoom sales teams.
Partner with Zoom legal to structure commercial agreements that align with long-term strategic objectives.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in sales management roles within the communications space.
Track record in business development, project management, and managing complex, political environments.
Demonstrated experience working with Deutsche Telekom and/or similar Telecom companies by size and complexity.
Proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
Extensive experience working with collaboration software, voice, and/or networking services.
Background in SaaS business development, product management, and/or product marketing preferred.
Background in the public & healthcare vertical, understanding the specifics required for success.
Proven experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
Strong track record of leading global cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills; ability to work with diverse teams and influence change across business boundaries.
Consistent track record of exceeding expectations.
Ability to quickly establish rapport and credibility at the C-level.
Experience building complex strategies and gaining executive buy-in on key initiatives.
Highly motivated, self-starter with a proven ability to drive projects to completion.
Expertise in building efficient processes between vendors and partners.
Strong prioritization, workload, and escalation management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a tactful and diplomatic approach.
Fluency in both written and spoken German and English at a native speaker level.
